About Me

I was born in the U.K. but have lived quite a large part of my life abroad. I currently live in Munich, Germany.

My interests have always been wide and varied. I consider myself blessed in that I am a naturally curious person. My current interests include philosophy, history, science, literature, writing, and languages. I enjoy meeting people from around the world and using interesting, thought-provoking topics to give students a meaningful reason to communicate in English.

I am also an adult language learner myself, having studied both German and Vietnamese.

I created English with Ideas in order to provide interesting, unusual, and different learning content that one may not usually encounter before reaching a native-level. I hope that by making the topics that fascinate me more accessible to multiple levels of English learners, I can help motivate and encourage them to continue their own journey in this wonderful and strange language that is English.

Qualifications and Experience

• First-class honours degree in Classics and Philosophy
• Currently studying a Master’s degree in Philosophy taught in German
• TESOL/TEFL certification
• TEOL certification in teaching English online
